Why educators should teach students how to fail

  • Teaching students the reality of learning... A good read!
Elementary-school principal Peter DeWitt emphasizes the importance of failure as a part of learning. Students should be allowed to experience failure and rejection, so they can learn resiliency and become more motivated to succeed, DeWitt writes. He suggests educators share with students their own stories and struggles with failure, then teach students to work through failure and toward success.
